Beautiful Quote

19 Oct

“I read once that the ancient Egyptians had fifty words for sand and the Eskimos had one hundred words for snow. I wish I had a thousand words for love, but all that comes to mind is the way you move against me when you sleep, and there are no words for that.”

Brian Andreas, Story People

This has recently been my most favourite quote. I don’t know the story, I don’t know the context. All I know is that beyond these 53 words, there is a bottomless sea of meaning. The beauty is in its simple description of a mundane event. I guess, it reminds me that love isn’t about the big moments, its about all the little ones that string our years together.
